I think you have to try and move past that anxiety. Lot of money there you could be losing out on.4

Could someone help you to apply? Seems a shame to miss out if you qualify.10

My children will be going onto packed lunches after half term because the meal prices are rising to £2.20 a day per child, so £22 per week for both of them - I can do pack ups for much less. Enquired about free school meals but because I don’t claim universal credit due to anxiety about such things I’m not eligible. My own ‘fault’,

It is so much more complicated than having someone just help me apply - too much detail to share on a public forum -
But thanks for the comments. X

I understand @Deleted_User my husband was the same. The appt letter for his assessment made it very clear that not showing up would result in being automatically declined, so he managed to attend (but was in a right state) and they determined that by the very fact that he attended, he was fit for work and was declined anyway! It was at that point, we decided it wasn't worth the distress of fighting it and starting living to my income alone.
Hope you're doing ok xFebruary wins: Theatre tickets14 -
Sparkly, I think you have mentioned that part of your anxiety came from a previous experience where you were faced with a sudden demand for a big repayment. Could you reduce the anxiety by claiming but saving the money so you have it if a similar foul up happens? That way you would get the ancillary benefits without having to worry about future disaster which I agree is the last thing you need when you are struggling with anxietyIt doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!12
