It's getting tough out there. Feeling the pinch?

Forgive my ignorance, but where’s my previous post gone (racism v perceived racism)? Is it a wibble on my phone, or has it been removed?I’m genuinely asking as I’ve not had this happen before!Shout out to people who don't know what the opposite of in is.1

I can't see it either. It was definitely there earlier this morning.YoungBlueEyes said:Forgive my ignorance, but where’s my previous post gone (racism v perceived racism)? Is it a wibble on my phone, or has it been removed?I’m genuinely asking as I’ve not had this happen before!

My post has gone too. I've learned we can discuss certain things here, but not others.1

I remember seeing it also. It has disappeared. So someone must have reported it.
We've had a fair number of posts removed on this thread, so we need to be careful or it will get closed down and there are so many helpful things in the thread.
I've really enjoyed the off topic conversation, but in the interests of keeping this thread going I think we will have to stop that particular convo now.February wins: Theatre tickets7 -
Ah removed. I thought I might have got an explanatory/telling off email if it was that...?
Shame we can't have an actual grown-up conversation with differing opinions and view points then.
Unimpressed.Shout out to people who don't know what the opposite of in is.3 -
Probably got reported because it wasn't thread suitable. No reason the thread would be pulled and even if it is, well, start another one isn't it?Anyway, back to feeling the pinch. I went to Tesco last night, took the soft plastics and did some shopping seeing as I haven't been for quite a few weeks. I bought mostly price match Aldi stuff but I still had a hefty bill at the end of it and didn't get everything I wanted. I noticed pasta has gone up, half a kilo bag is now 75p whereas a kilo one used to be a pound [wholewheat one..]Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi6

I was under the impression that if the mods have to get involved too often, because of reported posts etc, then it can be pulled?
Anyway, I'll be popping into supermarket tonight as I need a couple bits. Hopefully it won't be too eye watering!February wins: Theatre tickets3 -
I assumed that if a post was pulled you'd get an email/msg telling you why.
I wouldn't like this thread to be taken down, I've enjoyed reading it and been useful and entertaining. There are plenty of posts that aren't on-topic so I was wondering why some are singled out.
I'll go back to sitting quietly and reading

Not always. After all, you didn't say anything inflammatory that warranted a telling-off.YoungBlueEyes said:Ah removed. I thought I might have got an explanatory/telling off email if it was that...?

I suspect some posts have been removed to 'tidy up' otherwise the thread wouldn't made sense with just the offending post(s) deleted. I suspect the issue was not one of going off topic but perhaps more to do with some specific words used.4
