I keep meaning to cut mine again as I tried it during the lockdown. It came out okay as I have wavy hair too. I might do it today actually as I need to wash my hair and I do it when it is wet!:)Elisheba said:I cut my own hair. Found a nice easy way to do a layered style on YT, and as my hair is wavy it hides any mistakes. It's one of those things I never really mention to people in real life though, as everyone seems to think you are a bit mad if you cut your own hair 😂7 -
Just remember that wet hair is longer than dry hair. So you can end up with it shorter when its dried. So always err on the side of caution and cut a little longerWednesday2000 said:

Finally had a deluge of rain overnight and into the early morning. Thankful for that.February wins: Theatre tickets7

Steady rain has now reached us - it hasn't stopped all day - and it's very dull and considerably cooler than of late. :'( The rest of the week is looking more promising, although there could still be some showers. Bring back the good weather!
Last night's butter chicken was very good and there was some left over to freeze for another day. Today we're having pork shoulder steaks done in the SC, West Country style with onions, carrots, sage and apples. I've also made 4 small lemon cream cups to use up what's left of a carton of single cream and my last sachet of lemon meringue pie filling mix. We can have some ice cream wafers with it. At a smidgen over 30p per portion it's an inexpensive treat.
I took our monthly meter readings this morning (dodging the rain drops as the gas meter is outside), sent them in and have already received the statement. Units of electricity used were exactly the same as this time last year (they never vary month on month) and gas units were far less than last year but the cost is practically double! Scandalous.
Take off the standing charges and VAT and it's even more scandalous.
We've also had a visit from the Housing Department for a routine stock condition survey and, as expected, we don't need anything doing. Whilst I was grateful to have an updated kitchen and bathroom a few years ago, I can remember all too well how stressful and disruptive it was, so I was relieved when the chap gave the property a clean bill of health.
More good news - the First Bus strike in our region has been called off. This could be temporary though, depending on how the new pay offer is received. We shall see.

We have around 60 chickens at the moment, of which 12 are cockerels and some of those are getting fattened for the pot. We don’t sell our eggs but trade them for other goods / help around the smallholding. I can’t imagine not having them, I wish you were all nearby and you could share our eggs!!We had ten chicks born on Sunday as well, so the cuteness overload here is off the scale xx15

If you are lucky enough to be going on holiday abroad - hairdressers charge a lot less in Spain.
14 Euros ( That is about £12.50)for a cut and blow dry and really good. Won't take more than a euro for a tip too.9 -
Good point! I forgot to do it yet again anyway.🤣calleyw said:
