    So just a quick update,
i sent in my N180 via email to DCB legal via the email address ( info@dcblegal.co.uk )

Now this week I’ve received and email saying the following:

    WITHOUT PREJUDICE

    Good Morning

We write in relation to the above matter.

Our client is prepared to make an offer to potentially conclude this matter. We ask that you call us on 0203 434 0433 within 7 days to discuss this further.

We look forward to hearing from you.

    Kind regards,

    Alexandria Owens

    DCB Legal Ltd

I’m interested in to see what the offer will be but if I do phone them to find out will that play against me if it does go to court?

Ignore it. Or reply and say:

"no chat thanks love, just a discontinuance, unless they are offering me money."

We predict they are about to discontinue.

    OH DEAR ....

"Our client is prepared to make an offer to potentially conclude this matter"

    Clearly
Alexandria Owens has not been around the scam for long.

There is only one conclusion to this DCBL farce

That is a "drop hands offer" ..... they discontinue all their fake claim and you will not claim costs against them.

Do remember that DCBL are adding fake amounts that government has BANNED

I guess that Alexandria Owens is very ignorant that in a court claim, DCBL sign a statement of truth and if false, it is contempt of court and the penalty bar is as high of prison ?

REPEAT: GOVERNMENT HAS BANNED FAKE CLAIMS

This is NOT their client offering a deal, this is DCBL trying to wriggle out what they know will be a spanking in court

Very sad that the SRA allow these bods to operate

It could be. Not guaranteed, but enough of them around to suggest a bit of a pattern.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I’ve received a letter from the court whcicj states my court hearing date is the 19th of August 2022. My evidence must be in by 4pm on the 22nd of July 2022 so I’ve got a couple to get it all together. Any tips or input for the other members would be greatly appreciated.

Also since I’ve receive the court letter (4 days ago) I’ve received a missed call and then a voice mail from dcbl ask me to call them to come to an agreement before court.

    And I’ve received this email:

WITHOUT PREJUDICE SAVE AS TO COSTS

We write to you in relation to the above matter.

To assist the Court in achieving its overriding objective, our Client may be prepared to settle this case. I can confirm our Client would be agreeable to £210.00 in full and final settlement of this Claim. The current outstanding balance is £303.04.

Should you be agreeable to this offer, please confirm the same within 7 days. Payment can be made via our website www.dcblegal.co.uk, by calling our office on 0203 434 0424 or via bank transfer:

DCB Legal Ltd Client Account    Sort Code: 20-24-09 Account no: 60964441 When making payment please ensure you include the following reference number, 100875.27882D, to enable us to allocate it to the correct case.    Upon receipt of the settlement sum of £210.00 we will update the Court that the matter has been settled. If you are not agreeable, we will continue to follow the Court process as normal.

    Kind Regards

What’s everyone’s thoughts on the email and the phone call? Are they trying to get it sorted before it goes to court because they’re worried about losing?

The pattern continues. Now that they also have to produce a WS means that it will cost DCB Legal time in preparation and CP Plus money to pay for preparation. I'd be reasonably confident that neither will want to do that.

But, you've got to make a start on your WS. Do some research on the forum. WSs by @ricky_balboa, @wobbs2k and @aphex007 are seen as good examples of layout and the type of content areas to cover.

Hi all I’ve received the following email:

We act for the Claimant in the above matter.

Our client has instructed us to discontinue Court proceedings and close our file. Therefore, please find enclosed the Claimant’s N279 Notice of Discontinuance for your records.

The attached has also been filed with the Court.

We will now proceed to close our file accordingly.
