SCC - company went into administration

The company went into administration last year and it has since been taken over by another company.
The administrator most likely sold the company assets like its brand name however no one will have wanted to buy the company itself because doing so comes with the liabilities and who wants to buy something where the liabilities are larger than the assets?
Unfortunately you would simply be an unsecured creditor of the company, you can present your judgement to the administrators and if you are lucky you may get a few pence per pound you were owed.
Going to court against an ATOL bonded travel agency is an odd choice to make, you can represent your claim to ATOL but I suspect they are unlikely to be liable for your court fees.0 -
If you tell us the name of the travel company we can progress this further0

Well no, i asked you and you decided to tell me to "less judgemental" instead. I then asked you again and you again ignored it. Never mind, we finally got there.
ATOL website says you fill in a claim form. You wont get the small claims court fee back though.

You just missed the all important information which would have probably got you informed information a lot quicker.
You also ignored two polite requests to name the tour operator but added other comments to the thread. I therefore don't buy the above.
Now we know that it was Teletext Holidays (or Truly Travel) @emmajones1976 has kindly given you the link to make a claim through the Travel Trust Association. Your comment about them being taken over was also a red-herring. TTA have taken over some bookings and are administering refunds from the TTA trust fund. They did not take over the failed company and would not be who you could take to the small claims court.

This dance around could have been a lot shorter. We all have a life BTW.6 -

I didn’t answer the first request, I answered other comments instead. The requests thereafter I hadn’t seen because, again, I hadn’t been on the forum after that time. As you can see, the next time I came on here to answer was after they were asked, and I answered them. You don’t have to buy it, you believe whatever helps you feel better 🙄😂0

Thats great. Let us know how you get on with ATOL.0

For anyone that wants to continue to comment - I won’t be back so it’ll fall on deaf ears. Thanks for any input. Nobody has had any luck with the ATOL Avenue (I admin a Facebook page full of people having no luck with this) I’ll explore other avenues.0
