Switching off Bixby on Samsung tablet

Yes, I was suggesting a factory restore, but, as you say, there is a lot of work if you lose all those apps.
I take it you have switched the Bixby home screen off (the one to the left of the home screen)? I'm not trying to teach you to suck eggs, just trying to cover all bases.
Did it happen after a recent update?
Anyway, if you've killed it off for now, best not try anything else, just in case....Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

As I understand it, Factory Reset and Powerwash and the same thing. Ref items on your Home Screen, ie apps you'd prefer not to lose, I do screen shots first, they in turn are synced to Google Photos, so it's easy to double check you haven't forgotten anything.0

Anyway, if you've killed it off for now, best not try anything else, just in case....Thanks for your helpful input. Interestingly I've never looked at what you refer to as the "Bixby home screen". On a non-Samsung Android device about 10 years ago I once looked at the screen to the left of the Home Screen, Since then I've never again visited that screen on any Android device 🤔 .The last software update on my tablet was 2 January and Bixby didn't start to irritate me till at least a week later so I doubt the update initiated it.The good news is that, since my lengthy "kick out Bixby" expedition yesterday, the irritant hasn't reappeared on my tablet. Fingers crossed, it looks as if problem solved and as you suggest, unless the clown reappears, I'll not try anything else, just in case!Reginald Molehusband0
