Hi again Thank you so much for all your help and guidance.I’ve had a Notice of Allocation to the Small Claims Track through the post (12thAug)
DRHearing on 16th Jan
BUT I’ve also had an email (16th Aug) from Aaron Lomas? DCB legal Saying we act for the claimant our client has instructed us to discontinue court proceedings and close our file.
N279 notice of Discontinuance attached
Does this mean it’s over?
should I expect it in a letter like everything else, or is suddenly an email ok?
Thanks all1 -
It's over! You may get a letter but email is ok. You can check with the court that they have received DCB Legal's letter of discontinuation. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Thank the Lord for that. Why do they decide that after going this far?0

because they hope you capitulate and pay - when they see you have called their bluff they back down as they know they will lose - better they chase unwitting people that will pay up ( more cost effective )2

WHY? because they take on rubbish claims especially from UKPC, and if they did not discontinue, a court spanking awaits them. There are may judges ready to spank them.
DCBL entered the scam parking industry with their eyes wide open and have ended up with them being all over the internet for all the wrong reasons.
We will see a lot more of these discontinued claims0 -

Didn't you see that thread and realise that's how DCBLegal are operating? Shocking isn't it. This is a numbers game that works because we estimate that 90% of people who get a parking claim (that arrives at the right address) give up and pay at court stage.
People who come here, win!
ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST!
Congratulations!
And...
...please don't leave us yet! Stick around.
We need you - as a genuine PPC victim of aggression, sharp practice and an 'extortion' attempt to add £70 - to respond robustly to the Public Consultation on the level of parking charges and banning of the false added DRA 'fee' that too many honest motorists currently fall victim to.
It will need consumer input (powerful voices) but change is afoot. It's taken about 5 years to get to this stage:

And then the industry threw victims' money at it and blocked and delayed it - explained here:

Please now Bookmark BOTH threads and set up email alerts on your posting profile, so that you get an email alert when we post there, as we will, once the Public Consultation opens later this year, once the new Ministers are fully appraised.
We need people like you and your driving family & friends to respond in high numbers! You have a personal story to tell about the culture of getting a DRA to add a pointless £70 for their own profit, to be let loose to intimidate people.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
