  • Yes with 1.25 or 1.5 line spacing looks best.  Your defence for this situation is concise and faultless, IMHO.  You get it all.  Nice work!

Thank you I can honestly say I couldn’t have done it without YHO! Thank you so much

One thing I thought I could but haven’t mentioned is the McD manager saying he could help and how they don’t have ukpc anymore because of the upset to all their customers. Indeed he had 2 pcn himself!

then get a signed and dated statement from that manager to be included as an exhibit at the WS plus Exhibits stage in a few months time

Promissory Estoppel was mentioned earlier but cannot see it in paragraph 3

    Ok will do thank you.

Forgive me but not sure I understand how I use the words? That the Defendant relied on the doctrine of PE ? Or the promise made by McD staff ?

both, but ensure those 2 words are in it, because a judge will understand them , even if you dont

the second substantiated the first , promises made , so that invoked the doctrine

Search the forum for promissory estoppel defence and look for one written already.

  • How about this does it make sense?!

    3.   A McDonalds staff representative gave permission for the Defendants vehicle to be parked, as the driver was a customer,  no mention of a time limit and no signage was seen to communicate this. No contract can be deemed agreed. The permission was relied upon in good faith but led to the detriment of the Defendant therefore the Defendant invokes the doctrine of promissory estoppel.

    Looks fine.

Defence is not the only task, as the NEWBIES thread explains, but it's your foot in the door.
