EV charging point

That won't be an issue per se, but may affect installation costs. (More cable and conduit/ducting needed).

My charge point is due for installation on Friday week (11-Feb). The installer applies for the OLEV grant (£350, as it is deducted from their quote) but as I'm in Scotland we still have available an Energy Saving Trust grant of £250 - I applied for that and got the grant approval quite quickly. An added benefit for me is that I was due to get a free charger via my new Volvo PHEV car order but the chosen supplier is way behind track, so Volvo have given me a £500 contribution instead (already in my bank). All told this means the new charge point is going to cost me -£160 🤣 (yes, that's a minus).

I thought I was fortunate given my father-in-law is a OLEV approved installer...!

This is one of the rare occasions where the stars aligned for me ... usually I suffer the opposite fate. 🙄
