Problems with Amazon

Can anyone please advise if there is a 'higher authority' at Amazon UK?

I have been getting really poor service from Amazon over recent weeks with deliveries either being really late or not arriving at all and yesterday I had a parcel where the contents of the tub inside the outer box had leaked.

I have been contacting their customer service and their social media representatives but they are not in the least bit interested and simply keep sending me round in circles. I just wondered if anyone knew of a way of contacting someone who might help?

Vote with your feet. Never had any time for Amazon personally. As don't like the way they conduct business on many levels.

There are but they are very difficult to get to but realistically what outcome do you want? I would have already thought you'd been offered some reasonable voucher code for money off a next order.

All I want is for my deliveries to arrive in the time slots indicated by Amazon. I get time slots starting at maybe 12-2pm these then go out to 2-4pm and so until they get to 9pm and eventually never turn up.

I have been offered nothing from Amazon, no voucher codes or money off next orders. I pay annually for Amazon 'Prime' but see very little in the way of value from it and I'm starting to think it's a complete waste of time.

They are estimates, not guaranteed slots. They do move, they are variable, book the delivery on a day you are going to be in all day?

If they "never turn up" then Amazon will refund, or redeliver on a different day.

They never give money off/discounts for deliveries that don't hit the estimated timeslot, they never give money off/discounts for deliveries that do not hit the estimated date. Where items are not delivered they either refund them or send replacements, I have had Amazon replace deliveries that did not turn up for items from £5 through to items over £1,000, including one of £800 where the driver said that they had delivered it and they had not, so Amazon are not inflexible or unreasonable, but they will also not bow to unreasonable demands.

On the basis of Prime you get free delivery, which is something you get even if you to not get it in the two hour window you feel you are entitled to.

If you don't think the service provided is worth the £79 a year then stop paying for it.

It is an estimate of when the delivery driver will get to you. They cannot predict traffic delays or the time to park. deliver to each premises and get back to van. Does the tracking say outfit delivery? If so, it is on the van. Do you get better service from elsewhere?

I've started to use their lockers on stuff coming on a Friday/Saturday/Sunday so it doesn't get in the way of my weekend. Works really well I find tbh.

Biggest problem of late though is they keep breaking/smashing/damaging products coming in through amazon logistics. Hopefully that trend stops...

I've noticed this more than a few times, and I think in my case it's because they have "upgraded" me from Free-Super-Saver delivery because one of two nearby neighbours has ordered something on Prime/next day (including Sundays) -- thereby saving them a separate Monday/Tuesday delivery for my item.

To be fair to the OP, there does seem to be consistent problems with Amazon's own delivery company, Amazon Logistics.
We order a lot of stuff from Amazon and get deliveries almost every single day of the week. For the most part Royal Mail, DPD and Hermes are all great but Amazon Logistics rarely deliver in the timeslot they initially advise and far too often end up delivering a whole day late. Until recently this wasn't that much of a problem but the new "one-time password" policy means one of us often has to stick around all day now waiting for a parcel which can be a real pain.
Having said all that, your last comment hits the nail on the head; for all of Amazon's delivery shortcomings they still offer the best mix of convenience, choice, price and service and so Amazon continues to be my first pick for most things I buy.
As has been said, if the OP doesn't feel the same way then simply cancel their Prime subscription - no "higher authority" at Amazon is going to be able to improve their delivery experience.
