CoverForYou travel insurance

Booked USA travel in 2019 pre pandemic, on the same day booked insurance through CoverForYou as you do to keep yourself safe.
Obviously, 3 months later the pandemic hit and here we are 2yrs later, our holiday still hanging on the 7th rebooking with extra fees, park tickets updated (with ridiculous increased prices!) But the only company who don't respond to enquires are cover for you. Initially a year ago they sent a link to a covid19 enquiry page but with no other information at all and several emails later all i ever receive back is "we'll get back to you asap"
Has anyone else had this experience? Can anyone help or have any information, please?
I want to know as the insurance has lapsed over a year ago, should they/will they trasfer the money lost towards the next booking?
Is it legal for us to pay for something that wasn't rendered usable and them not respond or help in any way?
Please help if possible, this is so stressful

What do you mean by money lost ? The policy was there to cover any events that occurred during the specified time of the policy . If you didn’t need to make a claim during that time it doesn’t entitle you to a refund .
For example if you had travel insurance with medical cover , but don’t get sick whilst on holiday , you don’t need to claim - but you are also not entitled to a refund just because you didn’t need to make a claim .
If your policy has expired you need to renew or take out new policy

I think now that the policy term has finished you may be out of luck. Any changes usually need tot be made before the policy runs out.0
