received confirmation today that the charge has been cancelled following the appeal sent . Only had to send the blue template letter , no popla appeal needed. Thanks for the help.2

Did you add a final sentence to the template appeal to the effect that they couldn't hold you liable because they failed to comply with PoFA in their Notice to Keeper?Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
