Date of CCJ please as that will affect the advice given.  NEWBIE sticky contains advice for getting it set aside if it is more than one month ago (you only say "long time ago") hence why I asked for date.

Is it a CCJ ? If it is and it's more than a month ago , paying it won't stop it affecting your credit rating , only if it's less than a month old can you do so

Or is it a court claim pack from the CCBC in Northampton ? An N1 pack ? If it is , what is the issue date ? ( I suspect that you have a court claim pack , not a judgment )

Given the date of issue, it is likely that you still have a couple of weeks to pay it or decide if you want to go for set-aside.

It's not a CCJ, the OP is muddling up a claim form with CCJs.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Oh dear... why all this talk about a CCJ?
    No Judgment has been made.

With a Claim Issue Date of 12th January, you have until Monday 31st January to file an Acknowledgment of Service but there is nothing to be gained by delaying it.
To file an AoS, follow the guidance in the Dropbox file linked from the second post in the NEWBIES thread.

Having filed an AoS in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Monday 14th February 2022 to file your Defence.
That's nearly three weeks away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute.
To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look again at the second post on the NEWBIES thread - immediately following where you found the Acknowledgment of Service instructions.
Don't miss the deadline for filing an Acknowledgment of Service, nor that for filing a Defence.

Do not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an Acknowledgment of Service has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.
