What Small Things Will You Do This Week 24/01/22

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important 😀

Afternoon allThanks for starting the thread, @Bagpuss741Nice to 'see' you back @determined_new_msLoads of housework today, blitzed bedroom + spare, bathrooms x 2 and first landing. Left OH's den (3rd bedroom) as it is full of his carp and I don't go in there. Still need to tackle 2 flights of stairs.....Load of washing done, currently hanging limply on the line. It won't have dried much, if at all. It will need to come in and go on the airer.Dog walked first thing, DD and GS came round for lunch, but apart from that (and now) I haven't stopped.I need to either make some bread or pop to the corner shop and buy some. I need cream as well, as I want to make a mushroom flan - but I could do that tomorrow when I have to go out anyway, and the supermarket would be cheaper than the corner shop, and have nicer bread. Breadmaker wins for now I guess!Dinner will be easy, as there is pie left from yesterdayNo heating, as it isn't freezing all the time any more, or not for now, anyway. OH will light the stove shortly though.Time to vacuum those stairs I think!3

Morning folks
Sorry for being a bit AWOL - had a bit of a family 'mare over the weekend as my nephew got arrestedI won't go into why as obvs court/identifying people etc but on the plus side, no one was badly hurt and he hasn't pinched anything.
Anyhoo, back to moneysaving - just the usual going on here. We are in the process of getting all of OH's instruments fixed/serviced so there's a LOT of outlay here at the moment. At least it's tax deductable and my overtime is paying for it. Bleugh. I'd rather have a holiday
Need to get on top of the heating at home a bit. I seem to be very cold at the moment. Or maybe that's just January?
Have a good one all
