Taff, I third the comments about ringing the Dr or 111.
dp1, I'm sorry you are still suffering but glad little one is no longer positive, hopefully her test won't be too long delayed.11 -

Got through eventually after numerous attempts, no appointments left, I must phone in the morning at half eight. If anything untoward happens today I will 111 it. I'm loath to take up NHS time with something that may be nothing.

The review went better than expected so the wait for the next one will be 6 months, yipee ! Thanks for asking.

Fingers crossed for tomorrow though don't wait if it happens again! My trip up to Oban was mostly successful apart from forgetting to buy coffee. The main task of taking back the faulty sweatshirt was done very easily and a cash refund given immediately. I cancelled the cleaner as she wanted to come later this afternoon and it's not convenient. Her times vary so sometimes it can't be helped, it's not a great life for her, so I will waft a duster around tomorrow. Now I'm going to catch up on the Pottery Throw Down, I like to whizz through the talky parts and adverts.10

I have rung 111 after being very firmly told to by the lovely Nels and you lot, they've never heard of anything like that before, and have told me to ring the docs after they send through a triage note thing..Thank you all, I was worred but trying not to make myself go full blown panic...I will update as and when

Excellent - and I really hope that all the worry has been needless though you need that reassurance. Well, we all do!

Glad you have spoken to someone on 111 at last and hope not a long wait to speak to a doctor. It really is getting beyond a joke these days trying to get an appointment x

Just checking in with today's waffle and sending good wishes for the poorlies. Taff - hope all goes well, it's very worrying isn't it, not helped by lack of GP appointments. I would have thought they could at least have offered a ring-back call. I hope you get some re-assurance.
Like others have said, it's strange that some people get Covid when they've done all they can to avoid it whilst others, who've been less than careful, seem to escape it. DH is due to go for his booster on Thursday evening which I'm pleased about as I thought he had been forgotten. We both had our first jab early-Feb, second mid-May and I had my booster mid-Nov. Given that he is 80 (older than I am) I'm surprised it's taken so long to call him in.
Weather-wise, today has been a rinse and repeat of yesterday - dull, grey, chilly. I can cope with the cold if it's bright and sunny but these grey days seem to make my GUAG disappear and I turn into a sloth!
Tonight's tea was going to be chicken salad but DH's face told me that was a no-no so it's morphed into chicken tikka and jacket potato. LO mash from yesterday has been turned into potato cakes. Gaps appearing in the freezer now but there's still quite a lot of stuff in there to be used. The pantry, on the other hand, is well down so I have a small delivery of cupboard staples coming tomorrow. It didn't quite add up to the minimum for free delivery so I've added on some household bits (bleach, soap powder, WUL) to make up the amount.
Cleaned out the cupboard under the kitchen sink this morning and was pleased to find the only thing that needed binning was a pair of old rubber gloves that had perished - holes in the fingers and split down the sides. I did manage to salvage the palms though by cutting two round pieces with my pinking shears and now have two grips to use on obstinate lids on jars and bottles. The little grey cells must have been working!
Be kind to others and to yourself too.11
