Morning everyone
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Still dark, air is cold.
DH and DS1 up and getting ready for work, I'm showered and dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge. DS2 settled and happy.
Lunch yesterday was roast chicken, stuffing and all the usual - very nice it was too, some LO's. Tonight we'll be having fish.
Back to work today - weekends fly by way to quick - wandering what sort of chaos I'll be walking into today!
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
Dry again this morning, it was very windy last night. Washing more or less dried outside yesterday, just needed to be aired off.
Went shopping yesterday so the fridge is looking more healthy, also walked to see a friend for a coffee (and a sneaky G&T) lovely walk home as it was getting to dusk. Lovely to have the fresh bedding on last night.
Monday again, like you nmlc, we'll see what this week brings.
Hope you've all had a good weekend. Take care.XX15 -
Morning all
Cold here but no frost, it was a struggle getting out of bed this morning after a week of no alarm ! bit of a shock to the system.
The drone photo shoot went well yesterday over 400 people turned up lots with banners etc it was a really good turn out.
Back to work for me today it will be nice to see the clients but I am sure I will be shattered again by tonight, still not too much longer there hopefully.
Roast dinner tonight its all cooked just needs heating through so nice and easy, dw to be emptied this morning.
Have good days all xxx14 -
Morning
Had a few days break as my hands were giving me jip again but nothing much happened anyway.
Manic Monday again so lots of housey stuff to do and some volunteer calls. Cleaner is here tomorrow for her final day before mat leave so need to tidy kitchen and sort the bedding for a change over. Sadly my dreams of a hot bloke taking over did not come to fruition so I will have to start again with a new lady.
First charity bag of the year came through the door so I managed to fill it easily and hopefully they will start to come through a bit more regularly now then I can sort some of the never worn clothes out.
I have been well behaved with food only using stuff from my freezers or store cupboards but its definitely a marathon not a sprint. Last night I had some Xmas turkey and the last of the LO bags of roasts, sprouts and pigs in blankets. Chucked some gravy on and jobs a good un. Today is some smoked haddock with a mustard sauce, spinach and baby potatoes.
DP1 Been following your little ones progress and really hoping she is improving. Take care of yourself as well these are tough times for you all.
Have a good day all

Morning folks.Hang on Ruby - the end of that job is in sight!
My Sunday was fine, bedding washed and most on the airier in the spare bedroom with the dehumidifier running. The duvet cover has to be draped over the railing to dry. The PVU in the loft helps with that.I spent a bit of time slicing carrots with an attachment to the new mixer, it took some fiddling first before I sorted it properly, then it whizzed away. Now I have plenty of ready to cook carrot which is mildly pleasing. Later in the afternoon I did some pre-cleaner tidying up. 😀
Said cleaner is coming this morning. I'll do a trip up to Oban when she's here. In late September I bought a lovely cotton sweatshirt from M&S which I immediately hung in the wardrobe, took it out on Friday, put it on but found a problem with the collar which is twisted. Not happy so it's going back. When I'm back I'll watch 'Trigger Point' which I recorded last night. Some of our omicron restrictions are eased today, none of which affect me as my days of going to nightclubs and football matches are a distant memory. My thoughts with our poorlies and missing, especially if you're both. Happy Monday to all.15 -
Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.Hoping the workers have a good start to the week.Hi Nels, I wondered if you were ok.Hoping I test negative today, yesterday's test was still positive, even though the line was fainter, this is my 10th day, counting from the day after first testing positive. Hope you are feeling better today DP1, and that you have better news of the little one.Nothing much going on today, I stll haven't tackled my fabric cupboard. Snoozer, your craft room sounds super duper, I'm envious.DH went out for a walk yesterday, it was a lovely day, cold, but sunny. Hope today is the same.Thinking of our poorly people and those with relatives who aren't well, take care folks.16

Morning everyone, thanks for the start nmlc. Hope work isn’t too bad for you today.
We were away this weekend in Ramsgate which was lovely and a very funny time had by all. Well, all except DH who manage to miss the (high) kerb yesterday and ended up doing a forward roll into the road. He has hurt his shoulder and is on strong painkillers bless him. Could’ve been much worse though!
I’m still catching up on everyone’s news but know that dp1’s GDG is still in hospital. Sending lots of love to her x
Fingers crossed for a negative test Scarlet - 10 days is a long time.
Work today and I need to make a list for A!di later. We could probably survive a few more days eating out of the freezer, but fresh veg stocks are low. Would rather just get it over with. I know there’s a family sized carbonara ready meal in the fridge that DD and DS2 didn’t eat, so we will probably have that for tea with some salad.
Will be doing a face mask tonight as my skin is feeling a bit dry – all that bracing sea air!
Hope you all have a great day.

Morning all, I'm up and at 'em early today! Busy weekend for us watching DGC playing football. On Sat we went back to DS2s after, I did some ironing for him. He offered us brunch but we waited until we got home after. We called into the garden centre close to him and got some bird food and a couple of plants. In the evening we got a Chinese takeaway, not had one for years but it was awful! We ended up throwing half away which goes against the grain! Then I spotted a post from DGDs Mum with pics of her Chinese meal she'd done for friends, which looked tons better!Nothing much planned today so I may change the bedding and do some other jobs. I have to pop into town tomorrow to pick up some thermals from M n S- I'm spending too long freezing outside at the weekends! I'm still working my way through the freezers but they haven't gone down that much.Hope you all have a pleasant day x

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. I hope you are not going in to more trouble at work. It feels chilly here too, this winter seems endless.
True to my word I got both freezers defrosted yesterday. morning It was a toil and none too warm in the garage but once finished well worth the effort. They look so tidy and organised and a new inventory has been made out too. I just need the phantom messer upper to keep away from them now!
DS finally felt it was safe enough to call for a coffee and a natter in the afternoon. Not seen him since Christmas thanks to Covid. He has escaped it, despite his DP and 3 kids all succumbing to it one after another and he didn't want to risk bringing it here. He doesn't know how he has managed to avoid it, it's a very selective virus.
Going nowhere today but have the excitement of some jobs waiting in the wings if I feel so inclined. I started the windows last week and stopped after two so maybe another two today! They are such big windows it's a tedious job.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies and poorly loved ones. Thinking of Dp1 and DGD and NRA. I hope your mitts are not too painful NELS. Take care one and all and be safe xx

Morning all Dog walked not too bad here a bit chilly by the river but no frost. We had a good weekend and today the stained glass window is due fingers crossed and that will bring one saga to a close. TA I agree this virus is really weird in its selection I did see they were looking into why some got it and others escaped .
DP1 I hope there is good news re the little one such a worry for you all
NRA I am thinking of you x
Nels hope the hands are better
Right better get on with the Monday clean up and a wash to put on . Have a good day whatever you are up to stay safe xxSlava Ukraini14 -
