Hi everyone,
I've lost a filling, luckily the dentist had a cancellation so I am seeing him at 3 this afternoon. It's a tiny one just behind one of my bottom front teeth so I am hoping he will sort it today and not send me away with a temporary filling.
As a result of sorting out the sewing room I have a pile of things for the charity shop and another for the tip (mainly cardboard). There are also some things to go in the loft (Esben's outgrown toys and clothes). I also want to clean the bathrooms and living room today. I don't know if Laura is planning to come up tonight or tomorrow afternoon this week so I want to get those things done. I also want to make some broccoli and cashew pesto for Esben and try a new recipe for cinnamon rolls I found.
Thoughts are with the poorly ones.
Have a good day.16 -
Good morning everyone
I hope everyone is coping with their various illnesses and worries x
It's mild today but just dull really!
I have been up a while and had a quick hoover round and did a load of washing which has just finished.
It's a working from home day today with a meeting running quite late this evening. I will try and take a longer break over lunch so that it doesn't feel such a long day!
The minestrone soup I have made is ready for my lunch and I have made a chilli.
I had a lovely productive weekend but I felt it was a little spoilt as some extended family are trying to drag me into a family issue. I'm afraid I just don't have the energy for it right now so am keeping myself to myself but it is bothering me that they seem intent on mentioning it to me in a way that suggests they want me to help. It was on my mind when I woke up this morning so I need to have a word with myself and stick to my guns. (Sorry if that makes me sound uncaring but there are a lot of others that could help!).
Right, back to work now.
Have a lovely day
x

Morning, very cold, but not frosty.
Gas man cometh, I hope, so have to drag the shelves with the towels on, out of the cupboard so they can get in to the boiler. The cleaner is here this morning, so she will help me to put them back.
Later this week I have to sort out the sewing room for DB to sleep in whilst our room is being decorated.
I am waiting for the paper work to come re changing our bank account which will happen sometime thhis week, it is supposed to take 7 days from beginning to end. I will have to print a copy of people I pay so I an set up the same thing on the new account.
Supper tonight is egg and chips, was going shopping on Thursday but have brought it forward to tomorrow, we are going to see B at the same time and she is out Thursday.........she is getting to be a right gad about!!
I have a problem with my left hand, its the one I had a problem with a couple of years ago. Not sure if its carpal tunnel, but what ever it is, it's very painful. I had to take painkillers last night when I went to bed.
Supper tonight, egg and chips, with rasps in jelly for dessert.

Morning all, sorry to be MIA over the weekend but I was super busy. Saturday was a sunny day so we pulled some of the remaining front hedge out, it took a mammoth effort as it was fighting us every inch of the way. It needs to be cut up now and put in the green waste bin but that will have to wait as it's freezing and grey today. We also spoke to a lovely man who has started emptying out Joan's house next door, it's been empty for over 2 years now and I still don't know what's happened to her. On Sunday I helped as sous chef when we made a curry for tea, which was delicious, then DD, both DGC and Jasper dog arrived for the afternoon. Poor DGS wasn't well as he'd had his 2nd jab on Saturday, so he's here today and looking like a wet rag instead of going to school, he doesn't seem to have lost his appetite though ! It was Nanny to the rescue this morning when I saved the kitchen from burning down as Mr Fix It left the egg pan on the heat and the kitchen was filled with smoke 😱 I have filled the DW and started it going and washed out the empty rice tin. Not sure what the rest of the day will bring except keeping DGS fed 😂
Take care all
nan xx

Morning all. It's overcast and cold. Funny thing about the fire, have it all on day and it's lovely, when it gets past nine ish, it's too warm, if I keep putting wood on, too warm, if I stop putting wood on, too cold.... I'm sure the outside temperature is warmer than various electronic things are telling me. Maybe it's really isn't cold enough for it...Had a very weird phyiscal sensation last night. I was reading some movie news thing about Catwoman in the Batman film, I went dizzy, then it felt like my head exploded on the inside, silently, like what I'd magine an EMP burst would be like, travelled down my body and left me numb for several seconds. I was shi...very scared. All OK now, but will phone doc because it was just too weird. No plans for the day, I did have something in mind but I've forgotten what it was, it'll come back to me after.Nanny, hope the review went OK. Dp1, hope your little gd is improving and your covid symptoms are better. snoozer, sewing room result! Izzy, glad you've found a nice dress so early, one less stress thing...take care of yourselves today [and all days really]Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi15

Good Morning everyone , grey and very murky outside in north Kent at the moment, so today will be spent indoors in the warm. I had two vouchers sent to me from pub chains locally that I have loyalty cards with, I get them every year as birthday gifts. So two free main meals for me next month
eldest DD printed them off for me as my printer has gone to printer heaven and tha amount I sed it its really not worth me getting another one.
I was out on Saturday night to dinner at eldest DDs house Her husband bought a Ninja cooker a little while ago, and loves playing with it, and he cooked some beautifyl honey roasted salmon in it. I must admit it was a delicious meal but I doubt I will buy one as its a lot of cash for something I would probably not use a great deal. But my son-in-law Ashley is 'gadget man' and will buy all sorts of things . We then watched England get totally walloped in the 20/20 cricket in the West Indies.
Yesterday late afternoon I went to youngest DDs for Sunday dinner as usual and her husband slow cooked a gorgeous roast lamb with a Moroccan herbed crust. he really is an excellent cook for a quantity surveyor
its his hobby and turns out the most delicious food from their tiny kitchen.
So apart from making breakfast and lunch over the weekend I have not really done a great deal of cooking. I am looking for a easy recipe for peanut butter cookies for my youngest great-granddaughter as she is obcessed by peanut butter and would eat it on anything. So any recipes would be useful ?. Still working my way through my freezer and store cupboards so no shopping needed at the moment.
I hope DP1's grandaughter is improving bless her. Such a worry when they are so small.
Hope everyone stays safe and warm and well.
Cheers chums

Morning everyone
It's nice to read your weekend news. No change here - still feel ill and still testing positive. Day 7 now I think - I'm not sure if you count from the day you have the test or the next day.
Little one's MRI has just been cancelled - hoping it will go ahead tomorrow instead - DD is waiting for the doctor to come and talk to her. Little one had cried for her breakfast all morning, so she'll be able to have something now. Her PCR test has come back negative , so that's good news - at least DD will be able to take her for a walk off the ward.
I got up this morning and washed my bedding - it's flapping about outside in the sunshine now. Also phoned both jobs and said I was still ill and don't expect to be in this week. Both will still pay me, so no problems there.
I finished reading The man who died twice last night - really enjoyed it.
Well, need to ring my mam with an update on little one
Hope everyone has a good day x
