So Friday I went out for a few drinks till Saturday 1am with friends ( Knew one was Boostered & vaxxed). yesterday I went to the pub (Lunch time) for food & drink with friends (All boostered & Vaxed) then football with loads of other people. Then dinner dessert & bowling with same friends.

Today I got notification on Covid-19 NHS app I got exposure notification about covid-19 contact why would this be??

I am fully Vaxed & boostered,

what do I need to do?

    I am from Suffolk England
You say that you also went to football with loads of other people. It could have been one of them. I was pinged on Dec 10th and told that I had been in contact with someone who had tested positive on Dec 6th. I was fully vaccinated including the booster at the time. I had a hint of cold symptoms then and started getting a scratchy throat the following evening. It actually took 3 PCR' tests to get a positive so I wasn't sure that I had covid until almost a week later.

Gonna do another LFT Tomz (Before work) and rest of the week till Saturday (7 days since exposure) if negative will continue as normal if positive will isolate and book PCR,

Non of my friends I saw Saturday got anything.

    hopefully just a cold
  • Use LFT for a few days and if still neg then delete the app.

Those symptoms are very similar to what I got and I did get a positive PCR after 2 negative ones. It took 7 days after symptoms started to get the positive one.

According to some of the scientists there is little difference between a cold and Covid. Though a bad cold was far worse than Covid in my case, and my wife and sons who’ve all had it recently. Even the booster was worse than Covid.

Mine was very mild. Just scratchy throat, sneezing, runny nose and then a cough. No temperature. In pre Covid days, I would have carried on normal daily activities. Possibly 1 day off work when I was sneezing a lot. My booster was also worse than covid though only for 24 hours.
