I reckon they might well fold when they see the template or a 'non-POFA get stuffed' appeal.  Either will work.

Just use the blue text initial appeal template from the NEWBIES FAQ Announcement, first post, with an added couple of sentences to the effect that as they fail to meet the requirements of the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012 (Schedule 4), you, as the vehicle's registered keeper, can have no liability for their charge.

Proved here in this typical outcome:

  • Hi all, thank you for all the help on these forums, it feels good that there are other people out there who aren't putting up with this kind of treatment!!

I had a ticket for not paying the £5 drop off charge to and used the generic response from the newbies thread (I wasn't the driver and I won't be telling you who it was) but APCOA have come back and said "As you have refused to provide us with these details, we will continue to hold you liable for the charge"

Is there something specific I can hit back with?

Thanks again for all your help on here :)

Do nothing, just wait IF YOU HAVE NOT YET GOT A POPLA CODE IN THEIR REPLY.

They will either reject the appeal and give you a POPLA code (where a keeper will win v APCOA) or they will give up!

They have rejected it, its part of their appeal rejection text :)
So Just do appeal on no keeper liability and not relevant land at popla, attach Heathrow bylaws if you so wish
APCOA wont then challenge and you win by default

Is it a penalty or a parking charge?

Apcoa usually throw in the towel when they see a well reasoned appeal.
