Nationwide Flex Plus account - Breakdown cover changing from Britannia to AA in March

Just received notice that the Breakdown service on Flex Plus accounts is changing from Britannia’s to AA.
Have always been a ‘fan’ of Britannia Breakdown because of their excellent response times and the fact they use local businesses close to where you breakdown.
Never used AA in all my motoring years and would welcome any forum users views on the expectations of their attendance times and service.

Oh you're kidding! I only opened my Nationwide account because they use Britannia (who I agree are excellent). Hmm that's a dilemma for me then. 

I've never used the AA myself, but have had experience of them through work (not impressed).

Seems an odd reason to pay £156/year for a bank account (albeit with other benefits), do you break down a lot?

Interesting. I currently pay for a Halifax Ultimate Reward account because I wanted AA cover. This is £4 a month less, but doesn't include Home Emergency cover (largely irrelevant since I rent).
