In a nutshell - DON'T!!The much publicised ones about not holding it at all when "driving", except for making a contactless payment at Mackie-Ds.No taking photos or videos, playing gamesor scrolling through playlists whilst "driving"
"driving" includes stopped in a traffic queue.I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
(except air quality and Medical Science)

I can't find it- only lots of smoke on t'interweb and hot air from Shapps , maybe the new Highway Code will have references to actual legislation.

Are you allowed to use your phone as a satnav (google maps) phone stuck to front screen in a holder ?
Are you allowed to listen to youtube while driving with the phone on the top of dashboard so person talking or singing is on screen? (If someone took a photo of this, could you be prosecuted?)
Youtube with phone on seat so not visible?
Are you allowed to speak on the phone if on loud speaker (handsfree)?
youtube connected to bluetooth speaker?
Hands free, yes of course, speaker phone-how do you get to answer it and put it into speaker phone?-so of course not.
Why would you be on you tube when driving, that's weird. Podcasts for listing to, videos for watching, one for driving and a whole lot of other things, one for watching and concentrating on.
YouTube on seats not visible? Thens what's what's point, again, weird.0 -

There are people who upload obscure albums to YouTube with just a single image or a slideshow - so it's feasible for the OP to want to listen to that without needing to look at it once it's started off. Similarly there are vloggers who don't actually have any visual content - it's just them talking so once it's been set going then it's the same as listening to a podcast.
But the answer is still Bluetooth it; set the stream going before you set off and leave the phone in your pocket.I need to think of something new here...2 -

If that's so I hope I don't come anywhere near you on the road!0 -

The "new regulations" don't seem to exist yet. If you think I'm wrong, can you provide a link to them?1 -

What I think he means, and I agree with, is that there is much talk about illegal this, against The Law that, Big Fines etc., but all the articles fail to quote or give a reference to a single piece of legislation that we can look up to find exactly what is illegal.

Any new rules in the HC are not 'laws' or 'regulations', and do not in themselves have the force of law. But ignoring them can lead to other charges such as careless or dangerous driving. No change there either.1
