I know I shouldn't but I found that hilarious.
I lost a credit card once and quickly cancelled and asked for another to be reissued.  Unfortunately as the postman put the letter through the door one of my dogs bit it leaving significant indents in it, enough that it would not fit into a credit card reader - I tried hammering them flat but it didn't work. I had to phone my bank up and ask them to issue another one.
