My daughter has received numerous letters about over staying  her stay in a retail car park, my daughter provided the necessary evidence her car broke down and was having her wheel changed by a member of the public, she has appealed the ticket but they have denied it, I can not contact them as no one answers and she has not had a verification number to provide poplar just a parking charge number what can I do to appeal if the letter says legal action pending

She did get a POPLA code when they rejected her appeal early on. It's out of date now though.

Stop trying to ring.  No-one cares about debt collector letters or takes them seriously.

Legal action is not yet 'pending' (they lied) but it will be, later.  You need this cancelled so not sure why she didn't yet try the obvious?

So, tell us what happens when you try PLAN A from the NEWBIES PLEASE READ THESE FAQS FIRST thread.  No link. See my signature below for where to click and read.

Have you found the NEWBIE sticky it is one of the announcements at the top of the forum.  If you are trying to use the forum on a phone, that could be why you cannot see it.  It is in BLOCK CAPITALS and say NEWBIES please read these first.  Once you have found it, scroll back to the first page of it and start reading, you will soon come across Plan A.

Never ever send anything to a parking company or their solicitors using any service that requires a signature.
All that does is give the intended recipient the opportunity to not sign and hence refuse delivery.
All you have then is proof of non-delivery. Not quite what you want.

If you want to use Royal Mail, then send it by standard first class post obtaining a free Certificate of Posting from the Post Office counter. The item is deemed delivered two working days later.
Keep that Certificate of Posting as proof.

Why?  That's the opposite of the advice in the NEWBIES thread and you mustn't say who was driving.  CP Plus have online appeal and you just do it as keeper, using our template.

NOT the awful one offered in the MSE article that talks about 'no loss' and who parked.
