ZZPS - Warning Letter... What Can I do now...

Hi, I Received a Debt Collection Notice for £170 from ZZPS this morning and the car is registered in my wife's name. This was for an offence when my daughter (who has a parking permit) and uses the car all the time for the flat that she lives in accidentally failed to display it one day (even though it is the same warden everyday who see's the same permit and knows she has one) and the Warden decided to issue a ticket this day and to try and get a quick £££ out of us.
We ignored the initial demand and it got passed on to ZZPS and I have read all the threads and the newbie posts and now know that I should have just ignored the ZZPS letter but my wife was stressing about this and just said we should pay it but I am not wanting to pay this as I think this is just taking the !!!!!!.
Before I found this thread I had called them (which I now know "Do Not Call Them" which is what it says is the thing not to do is in the threads as I would have not posted here otherwise and just ignored the ZZPS letter as the threads advise moving forward. However, before i saw the threads I spoke to them today which i am now cross with myself for and they informed me that I cannot appeal it and I did ask for them to send the photographic evidence that City Permits Ltd who they claim to be acting on behalf of and I have yet not received it.
My question and advice needed was now that I have entered into correspondence with them (they have my email and mobile number and know that my daughter was the driver, I actually said it was me driving not my daugher) can I still ignore letters and have I screwed it up by speaking to them?
What should I do now
Any help is really appreciated. Thank you.
Tim

Just ignore ZZPS and their mates from the same stable, QDR solicitors. Read a load of threads about them by searching Google. QDR rarely file claims and act as debt collectors like ZZPS.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Firstly it's not an "offence" - this termonlogy relates to Criminal Law. This is a civil matter where no laws were broken or anyone caused an "offence" to another person or stature law.
ZZPS have added an unlawful amount on of £70. *** Awaits @D_P_Dance who explsins thus best ***. It is not technically a "debt" - is a disputed invoice which you have the right to challenge.
Don't identify the driver or open communication with these parasites. No doubt you'll get other similar letters from other aggressive begging companies as its not uncommon for Parking companies to farm out their PCNs to companies at once- its almost like Bounty Hunting! Where their Bounty is thr unlawful add on of £60/70. It was ZZPS owner Gary Osner who created the model of adding on Bogus "admin/ debt collection" fees to Jack more money our of people like you. Because he feels the £100 is too low and him anf his cronies simply want more!!!

ZZPS next move will be to send it off to QDR Solicitors as they did on my case. Don't initiate any contact with them and read the Newbies and ZZPS Letters thread.6 -
Thanks for this and the link...I just read it and what a hideous company!! From now on I will ignore them but I am hoping that because I did make the mistake and speak to them before i read the threads on here that it won't in anyway weaken my case if they do decide to take it further but I will take your advice and ignore anything now from them or QDR coming next and only respond and fight it further if it goes to court. My other half just got stressed as she doesn't want a ccj against her but I have tried to explain that we are still a long way from that and even if it went to court and we lost the case then we would get a chance to pay it and there would be no ccj against her as long as it was paid but I am prepared to take that risk as don't want to pay any money to City Permits or ZZPS.95Rollers said:Firstly it's not an "offence" - this termonlogy relates to Criminal Law. Read other "own space" threads, google "primacy of contract" and tell her to complain to her MP.
You are very unlikely to lose an "own spce" case if you follow our advice. These companies should be banned from residential car parks and judges know this. Never ever conduct any business with these scammer by telephone, everythying on paper. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
But he phoned today, so presumably the letter was address to his wife. No point a third party phoning up, and in fact anything you said is totally irrelevant as you are neither keeper nor driver and should never have rang.OP in first post stated:-

ZZPS are just one of the crazzies pretending to be debt collectors
Simple rogue traders who add on fake amounts
It's all so sad that not only are they members of the BPA, the OSNER chappie is on the BPA board ??? Such junk letters just makes the BPA look so stupid
QDR, is an offshoot of the disgraced Wright Hassall solicitors so do show us if QDR contact you and what they say
FORGET ALL ABOUT ZZPS, POINTLESS, POWERLESS MONEY SCAMMERS3 -
Further to the "why did you (the OP) receive a debt collector letter and not the RK" comment has the keeper filled in the transfer of liability slip from the NTK naming the OP as driver? If so did the OP then receive a NTD in his name?3

If so did the OP then receive a NTD in his name?Bit of a mess with the father saying he was driving his wife's car when in fact it was their daughter doing so.Don't try this tack if your daughter or your wife picks up a speeding ticket. Google Chris Huhne, Vicky Pryce - jail time! Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
