What are you waiting for? Debit card and PIN? Anything else? Has the delay actually caused you any problems? Did you close an old account and transfer it into the new one before you'd got whatever you're expecting?

Unless the bank delay caused you any real problems, I don't see it as anything more than a bit disappointing.

    Is this via CASS?
Do you have your account details?
Have you set up internet banking or APP access to see any account details?

That's only 14 working day from 14 Dec to 4 Jan.

If account has not been opened then it's a possibility that more ID is required.

I applied using the switch program on the 18th and everything was finalised on the 4th of January. There was no emails about the progress and was mostly done via letters through the post, which was a bit slow to come through due to Christmas and New Year's. I'm now just waiting to get the switch bonus of £100 since I've already transferred £1000.

I cannot remember exactly how I did it but pretty sure I ended up with a working app straight away but having had an issue with a transfer, had to jump some loops to set up telephone banking and resolve said issue. Also the CASS for some reason failed and had to be initiated again now due to be completed this week, but my account was working straight away and I had the card in the post only days later.

I opened an account yesterday (7/2/22). Everything appears to have gone through smoothly. However, I thought I would have received some kind of email from FD acknowledging my opening business with them, but like you, haven't.
No biggie I suppose, but it's just something I would have expected.

Can you still get the 150 if you switch an HSBC account to FD?

    From their website....

"as long as the current account was opened before 1 January 2019"

    Meaning the HSBC account.

Having already worked for me last year, I've just helped out my parents in switching redundant TSB current accounts (of which they had two each - the one that used to pay monthly interest/bonus up to a £1500 balance with £500 monthly payments) - now their FD accounts have only just opened (welcome packs / debit cards / PINs / telephone banking pass codes) and the switching has been delayed about a week.

Now I'm just wondering if it means they might get the £150 each, rather than the £130 offered when the applications were originally made last week
      - so has anyone in a similar position with an earlier increase received a higher switch reward than the amount offered when they originally applied?

    Hi Yes
Applied on 16/1 (when it was £130 offer), switched on 28/1, deposited £1k on 31 Jan, £150 bonus paid on 9/2
