    MacOS is unix based so its "terminal" and the commands are the same as they would be in unix... unfortunately was never a big user of unix and so my knowledge is highly limited of Terminal as just dont need to go into it often.

    With Finder (equivalent of Windows Explorer) you can filter for files/folders over user defined sizes which would be my route of doing it... you do need to turn on folder sizes in the Options though.
