Amazon and Visa Credit Cards

But I didn't get any discount on anything or any prizes either.
I always try to use my daughter's account though because she's a student and has free Prime right now.Despite what was implied on MSE before Christmas, it seems that the discount was by invitation only. No amount of clicking on links from MSE or the original Amazon email offered me any discount. So I ignored the email and left my Visa card registered. Then as I was doing some Xmas shopping, it offered me £10 to make the switch. If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.1 -
I got £40 for taking the Amazon card and cancelled the Visa,so was very happy.

I received an e-mail from "Amazon" last week but, since the subject line was about "my Visa application" and I hadn't made one, I deleted it! Maybe it was telling me about the climbdown - too late, I had, like Jenni_D, already removed my Visa card from my account.Jenni_D said:Not sure if this is a Praise, a Vent, a Warning or merely an observation, but it seems to fit here best.
I've just received an email from Amazon saying that them stopping accepting Visa credit cards on 19-Jan-22 is now not going ahead, so customers can continue to use them (for now at least). 🙄
As it happens I changed over last month to my Visa debit card and Amazon gave me £20 account credit. 😀

Jeff is just rich because of being bright and wily. On the backs of we the public. Oh well, I still use amazon! But never use Prime. Except when it's free as it is now since we in my household are mature students at the mo.greyteam1959 said:
Jeff is floating around in outer space on the back of all the Amazon Prime accounts.MalMonroe said:
It's not Jeff Bezos now, it's Andy Jassy. Although Jeff is still around he's not the owner or in charge any more.pattycake said:I changed my payment method from Visa credit to my debit card a couple of weeks ago. Amazon very kindly gave me 2x£20 credits to my account. I’m a long standing Prime customer if that makes a difference. Thank you very much Mr Bezos!
I will probably change back to my credit card in a few weeks.

Atleast read it and if it's spam then report it or if it's not then archive it but deleting an email based on the subject line is just asking to miss something genuine you needed to know.

Because I had not applied for a Visa card from Amazon or anybody. If it was important, a) I would have known about it or b) they will contact me again.RogerBareford said:Le_Kirk said:
