the cap hasnt been announced yet 100% for gas and 50% for elect or visa versa being suggested on this forum// Its unlikely SP will go under But not known But as one of the big 6 unlikely// Sure i may pay extra in short term but wont come into effect til 28/2 and rekon its a good bet as 6p for gas and 28p for electric looks good at the moment and if things change no exit fees

When you've got rid of the cobwebs, some reflective foil behind the rads will help your gas go further (opinions differ but I reckon it works).

I have agreed to 8p over current SVT on electric and 1.7p for gas( gas 3.987/6.779 electric 20.316/28.179)  The way i see it gas could go up from 1/4/22 to 8p and electric 40p at least I have a 2 year buffer from this

As we run down the weeks until the new cap is set it should be just a matter of a bit of math. The big unknown is what government intervention will look like.

    Hello, thank you for posting.

Can I enquire where you obtained that tariff from please?

The best 2 yr fixed tariff I seem to be able to find currently from SP based on the East Midlands supply region is:

Fixed Price January 2024 YM1 Online

    Electricity:
    Standing charge: 23.76p
    Primary unit rate: 28.73p
    Exit fee: £30.00

    Gas:
    Standing charge: 26.11p
    Primary unit rate: 8.27p
    Exit fee: £30.00

  • The February 2024 CM1 2 year fix is only offered to existing SP customers .
