Grey is going to date horribly, I think.  Property programmes of the future are going to see hip couples wandering around redevelopments squealing about how disgustingly old fashioned the grey only palettes are.
It is already dated to anyone that is in design.   Repainting grey kitchens in anything but grey is now rife on Instagram.

Covid has introduced a real vibrancy back into interiors as people spent more time at home and remembered that these very expensive boxes deserve to reflect your own experience and personality.

Boris and Carrie have taken it way too far, like high fashion often does,  but pattern and colour is on its way back, big time.
Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Personally I’d rather have what I like in my house than go for the latest trend that’ll be out of date before you know it. While I’m not the biggest fan of grey I’d still choose it over white or magnolia. I think grey done well could look great. It’s difficult to do white well.

I’m painting my office soon and I’m going bright green. Make of that what you will.
