Can't stand brilliant white walls personally - too cold. Our new-build is Dulux Timeless throughout - only just off-white (nowhere near magnolia) and just that bit warmer in tone. In time we'll add more colour.

We opted for cream carpets, not grey.

Almond white gets used on dwh. Painters love it they use the same on walls and ceilings so no cutting in. It doesn't look too bad actually tbf.

I actually did my flat trade white and added colour with objects and paintings.

The lounge was quite oppressive with imposing mahogany units and dark charcoal carpet, swallowing the light from the big windows. I was lucky as someone had fitted laminate throughout the flat and some lazy person just carpeted over it. Up came the lounge carpet, I set about sanding, painting and swapping the fittings for chrome, it's homely, warm and inviting now.

A friend sent me some artwork and I hung it in my hall, visible from where I sit. After a while I decided to paint the lower half in a near identical colour, much to the surprise of everyone who knows me.

Still have to deal with the monstrosity of a kitchen and I'm hoping to make a start on the shower room this year.

I used to work in an office and was surrounded by grey metal cabinets, I would never use the colour in home.

I quite like off whites and used antique white, jasmine white and chalk white in our last house depending on light levels in each room.  I do not like loads of tims of paint hanging around though so in our new place we just went with pure brilliant white and it looks fine.  The carpets are beige and the woodwork is f&b mizzle so that helps to warm it up and stop it being clinical.

For some bizarre reason grey seems to be the "in" colour at the moment, even among folk who are renovating or refurbishing their own long-term homes; there's been a few round our way. Still each to their own but I won't be buying any grey paint anytime soon.

Not quite what the OP was asking, but grey is not just an interior colour.

So many Victorian yellow stock brick houses are being renovated by developers and covered in light grey render. They are popping up everywhere.

And then the wooden fences front and rear are painted dark grey.

I've always liked light grey interiors, remember painting my bedroom Dulux Dove Grey in the mid 90's. But now it's fashionable I find myself venturing into new colours.

I have a small Victorian end terrace and it's a bit dark. Most of the walls were almond when I bought it. Didn't bother me at first but after a while I got sick of looking at it and painted over it with brilliant white which makes it look so much better and brightened it up. The almond look dated. I do have a small of colour in each room though. I don't like all neutral walls.

Hate grey. Anytime I see a listing with a grey interior it's like someone sucked the soul out of the house. The external walls of my house are grey and I hate it. So many houses the same style as mine in the area are brightly coloured. Mine looks miserable. Once I have some spare funds I'm going to have it repainted.

Brilliant white on everything as we have dogs and so easy to keep on top of it with touching up .
I love colour but now only use it on soft furnishings, this way I can change the look as often as I change my pants .... every week if need be

I get bored very quickly and a full on look be it greys/black/green etc would get on my nerves very quickly

I think the grey thing has just about run its course (thankfully). Personally, I like a bit of colour but if neutral colours are the order of the day I'd very much prefer some of those 'white with a hint of' colours.
