PAYG mobile broadband is quite expensive but there are options.
I'ver got a couple of Three SIMs:
    N. Hampshire, he/him. Octopus Intelligent Go elec & Tracker gas / Vodafone BB / iD mobile. Ripple Kirk Hill member.
    2.72kWp PV facing SSW installed Jan 2012. 11 x 247w panels, 3.6kw inverter. 34 MWh generated, long-term average 2.6 Os.
Not exactly back from my break, but dipping in and out of the forum.

    free 200MB a month
    upto
    unlimited for more.

Asda mobile payg - 4p per MB
  • There are still O2 Classic sims to be found on ebay, 1p/MB. The 3 Data Reward sim, 1p/MB is still around but Three make it really difficult to find on their website. Both sims need a £10 top up to activate.

Presumably this if for very light use - picking up WhatsApp messages when out and about etc?

White Mobile (https://whitemobile.com) charge 2.5p/mb which is pretty cheap, used them for about 10 years now as a backup for when my Vodafone contract mobile doesn't get signal and I need a bit of data. White run off the EE network.

Otherwise have a look in the Mobiles sub-forum at RWG?

How many GB do you actually need each month?
The cheapest option usually be tethering from your phone.

Smarty sim £10 for 30GB bundle for 30 days.
EE Preload data sim 120GB, valid for 1 year, £50 @ Argos or amazon
