I was ticketed by ‘One Parking Solutions’ in Stanmer Park in March? 2020, there were no ‘Parking Restriction’ signs, so thinking it was a scam I ignored all the consequent mail from them, until I started getting letters from their solicitors, in 2021, I took advice from Citizens Advice Bureau who said that they rarely take it to court, but, I have now received a notice from Brighton Small Claims Court that they are pursuing the case against me and I have a date in April to attend court. What sort of defence do the experts advice ?
many thanks in advance.

Following an OPSL ticket in Jan 2020, and a year of "fighting" both the Council and OPSL, the LG&SCO has just issued a draft decision upholding our complaint. Further comments are invited before a final decision is issued.
Will share more details in due course.5 -

I have now received a notice from Brighton Small Claims Court that they are pursuing the case against me and I have a date in April to attend court. What sort of defence do the experts advice ?If you've had a hearing date, you've already submitted a Defence and a Directions Questionnaire. Either you're not clear where you are, or you're only giving us half a story.
many thanks in advance. What did you say in your Defence? Verbatim please, not a broad outline. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Read the comment by Coupon-mad in this Stanmer Park thread.Stanmer Park is owned by BHCC. Council-owned land is not relevant land under POFA, so OPS cannot use POFA to hold the vehicle keeper liable, if they don't know who was driving. All the contracts between BHCC and OPS are here:
https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/parking_enforcement_on_housing_lStanmer Park (Stony Mere Way) was added onto the Housing car parks contract by BHCC.1 -

I know you were talking to the Argus as well - just as myself and @ParkingMad did about the shenanigans that used to be played out at Stanmer Park* - so hopefully there will be some publicity and your decision assists others to defend and/or reclaim monies by complaining to the Council citing your Ombudsman decision.
*and are still being played, right up at the top of the park...at the moment.
