Can anyone advise i have an account with Virginmedia which after trying to get a new deal and being given insufficient discount decided to cancel have been advised that i will be charged £200 although i am out of contract .
Has anyone else had this problem as im sure as out of contract i dont have any charges

Its either a mistake or you are in contract still .You need to speak to VM .

Everything with Virgin media is unclear and hard work.
Our contract ends on 4th Feb. After spending 2 days trying we eventually, today, got someone to speak to who would accept our intention to finish with them.
We were told that we have to give them 30 days notice of this so cannot leave before the 13th Feb.
When it was clear we would not be persuaded to stay the operator told us we would be sorry, the others are all rubbish and we would be be back.0 -
