A PIV unit usually solves condensation problems, but will cost a bit to install. What I do not give, you must never take by force.

We had very bad running windows every day in our 1960s bungalow, had to use a window vac every morning, did a lot of research, all normal stuff like leave windows open , no wet washing etc. Found info on Nuair dri loft system, was £280 and £50 to fit, best money we ever spent, its on all the time costs pennies to run and cured the problem, honestly was at wits end, even walls were wet before. This circulates air from the loft around the bungalow which cured it. We got ours from a company on amazon, had it two years so far, can also get them for flats that vent through the wall. We keep ours on setting 3, but this can be adjust trial and error until it suits your problem. It has automatic cut out in warm weather and comes back on below a certain temp. Ours is cool air which returns cool air through the vent in ceiling but you can get warm air version which is a bit more expensive. Hope this helps, look them up and have a read but couldn't recommend enough.1

Another vote for the window Vac.
I don’t find leaving the window open does anything except make me cold - I still get condensation on the window either way and I’d rather be warm then chuck the window open in the morning for fresh air.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.3 -
The Victorians had a solution which involved chimneys and fires in every room and opening the windows during the day. Unfortunately in our more enlightened times we live in sealed boxes with inadequate ventilation and we try to keep the heating on low to say on the bills. We all still breathe out about a litre of water a day, we have showers and baths and dry washing indoors. The solution during cold weather is to provide some ventilation during the day, dry clothes outside when you can. You must wipe the windows dry every morning to stop the mould developing. Make sure your extractor fans are working properly and are removing steam from kitchens and bathrooms. Dehumidifiers are very effective if you use them properly and check the Which? report before purchasing one.The long term solution is to build our houses to suit our rather soggy climate and install effective insulation with a heat recovery and ventilation system. At a new build stage it isn't that expensive but retrofitting can have issues with access for the ducting. Over time though you will make savings on heating and you will not suffer from the effects of breathing in those mould spores.0
