Hi there,
Every morning I'm getting a build up of moisture on the window inside, and it's causing mold on the frame. Any one have some top tips on how best to deal with this? It's driving me mad. Pictures attached.
Thanks in advance

Keep trickle vents open, ventilate the room (open a window). Clean it off every morning. Use a dehumidifier. Don't dry washing on your radiators.4

Hi Fred.A simple - but chilly - solution; leave that window open on 'vent' setting overnight.Try it, if only just once, to prove what's going on - a lack of ventilation.2

If you really don't want to do that, then simply accept it'll happen, and wipe it up thoroughly with a cloth/ paper towel each morning, and then leave the window cracked open for a few hours. If you dry it thoroughly like this each morn, then you should have little mould forming. Any that does, spray lightly with mould killer.

We get this and have no trickle vents on our super old double glazing, so I tend to use one of those karcher window vacs daily and give a wipe with a mould spray every so often.3

Try opening the window fractionally overnight. Fresh air will remove the moisture from inside the room.2

Stop breathing - that should reduce the amount of moisture in the airSeriously though, you'll always get this whenever there's moisture in the air that hits a cold surface. It's obviously more or an issue when the outside temperature - and therefore the surface - is colder. You either live with it and wipe it up each day, or else you reduce the amount of moisture in the air - whether by increasing ventilation or by using a dehumidifier. The most MSE way, I think, is just to live with it and wipe the window each morning to help stop the mould. It should only be a biggish problem when it's very cold outside - unless you've got a lot of moisture in the air due to having clothes drying in the room or something like that.

One thing to bear in mind when drying the windows is that when you've finished, don't drop the wet paper towels in a bin inside the house or if you use a cloth, don't stick this on a radiator to dry out.
Doing either of those will simply lead to some of the removed water getting back into the air and condensing on the window again overnight.4 -
It happens most in cold weather as mentioned.
I have the window open a tad and its less but your breathing out warm wet air for 8hrs onto a cold surface.
North or east facing is the worst because thats coldest.
I used to use a squeegee and sponge with a small bucket.
The detol wipes are quickest for mould. Baby wipes may do it. Anti mould spray on an old sponge dried with paper towel a tad longer.I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

I'm having the same issue.
New house, blown windows and the only opening window is damaged so I daren't open it.
I'm going to get the window replaced asap but I am wiping before bed and after bed and will get some detol wipes.
I have purchased a dehumidifier, probably a very silly question but I've got new house brain..
Would it be more effective to run during day to dry out room or during night when it's actually getting wet?
Would sleeping with the door open help more if I can leave a window open in another room down the corridor and get some fresh air in that way?1 -

180 pounds local replacement double glazing Glass company.
which was fine, until I had reports from flat below of potential running water in extreme storm weathers.
Late 21' I found local window frame repair company, 163 pounds job done.
