Where to get felting wool and mat

I've signed up to a felting course (just for fun) and need to take my own wool, needles and felting mat. I have needles, any advice on how much wool for 2.5 hours a week for 6 weeks and where to get that and a mat? I presume I won't be felting the whole time as I'll get rsi! There are loads of local suppliers if you Join the original needlefelting Facebook group (and people destash ing)

world of wool has a good reputation, baavet does cheap core wool (insides of items, you put nice wool on the outside). I recommend heidifeathers needles (which you can get off of Amazon).
