Where to get felting wool and mat
Options
I've signed up to a felting course (just for fun) and need to take my own wool, needles and felting mat. I have needles, any advice on how much wool for 2.5 hours a week for 6 weeks and where to get that and a mat? I presume I won't be felting the whole time as I'll get rsi! (Speaking of which, any recommendations for hand exercises so I don't get rsi?)

I’ve just started dabbling as well in the last week or so but I’m lucky and my local fabric shop stocks needle felting bits.I have heard though that Mums Makery is pretty good

Also I think the ubiquitous Hobbycraft sell bits as well.A couple of years ago before lockdown I picked up the business card of a felting place at a craft fair a do you think I can find it now 🙄. She had some fabulous sheep wool etc.0 -

I bought a gorgeous kit from Solway Woolscapes on Etsy - it has a really comprehensive booklet of instructions and advice and an extra bag of coloured bits just for playing with. I'm getting excited and having to hold myself back from having a go before the course starts
