If EDF cant get the basics right, I think its understandable why I have little faith in them having a system that identifies ex Zog customers and will credit them with any overcharge.1 -
Well if they are happy to continue to dole out money each time they make a mistake and get a complaint long live their incompetence I say 😅0

I was with Symbio in 2019....dreadful year.....EDF deja vu? hope not.
I am feeling uneasy about their competence and honesty as all the errors so far are in EDFs favour. The current wrong tariff rates displayed on our account page being another example.. An honest company would display "current rate" and from 1/4/22 the higher rate. As it stands its misleading and could scare people into rash decisions based on incorrect info.
I'm hoping its all teething problems and eventually it will be the start of a wonderful relationship where I never need to contact them about anything.....All I want is a supplier who bills me when due and I'm confident that the charges, unit rates etc are correct. Zog did it, why cant EDF.1 -
From April 2021 with Zog, the unit rate was 2.256 p per kWh. In April 2022 with EDF it will be 7.367 p per kWh. An increase of 3.37 times.
The corresponding standing charge moves from 16.88 p per day to 27.22 p per day. An increase of 1.61 times.I have osteoarthritis in my hands so I speak my messages into a microphone using Dragon. Some people make "typos" but I often make "speakos".0 -

Nothing to do with EDF, in particular. A combination of a massive spike in wholesale enery prices and poor regulation by Ofgem. The only thing you can really pin on EDF is their normal level of administative incompetence.

The account is pretty clear that the DD rate only is applicable from the date it was applied and is shown as a different tariff. Good news if it is backdated, poor comms from EDF if it is but I guess the whole thing is a last minute panic to switch over customers.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -

Seems the chat agent I spoke to yesterday re credit for difference between DD and non DD rates and the generation of a monthly bill (as well as their behaviour in putting the April 1 rates up on My Tariiff as if it were in place now) has put it forward as a complaint. Anyway upshot seems to be they are giving me a £50 credit, although it wasn't clear if they are going to also refund the original bill and rebill at the DD rates although to be honest its only a couple of quid anyway so can live with that. Fingers crossed but that'll be a result if it happens.2
