Wow interesting feedback on here. Thank you for your solutions, however, I think the point is being missed here that Samsung will block a phone despite the requirement of user. They promote the use of watches, meds reminders and interaction with health support as well as alarm services. What makes it reasonable to stop those facilities, without some thought to the vulnerability of the user? Not everyone is trying to rip them off. They are uncontactable to resolve and you must wait. As it happens they have written today and apologised offering me £50 towards my next purchase, so all is well? I dont think so.

Why can't you take ECG readings or Blood Pressure readings without your phone? Any device that is accurate enough to provide useful readings to a doctor surely has a built in display?

Also it sounds like you have no internet connect devices at all other than your two phones?
You should go out ASAP and buy a spare phone just incase something happens to your main phone. I have several spare phones just incase of issues even though i have other internet connected devices. But it seems especially important in your case if you need to have regular contact with a doctor and also have alerts through text messages you need to receive.

I can understand why your annoyed at this situation but they specified that you had 14 days to send it back and you otherwise have to pay a premium or the phone gets locked. Most post offices were not closed for 8 days over christmas and you should have arranged to pay the extra or for someone else to send the package considering you knew how long you had.
  • Post Offices were open on the 29th-31st of December and back to normal on the 4th January so you had ample time to post it back.
