Lock size help please

I don't think the 'knobble' is supposed to pass through the metal hole in the door. Slide it in from the outside as Norman Castle suggests above.GolfR said:Just to add, I tried from the inside and outside of the lock hole with no luck.
(I presume you've put the key in and turned the black toggle so that lines up with the barrel as you insert it).0 -
To get the new lock in, you have to put a key in and turn it a few degrees, as chrisw has hinted.
If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0 -
Yes I’ve been turning the key to turn the black toggle to the correct position, no issues there at all. Looking at that picture it seems there’s two metal parts in the internal part of the door and that the middle of the barrel sits inside/between the two metal bits and the bobbly bit won’t go to through either of them, I’ve tried doing it from the inside of the door and from the external point of the door. I’m lost now! I’m in work at the moment but I’m going to the house first thing in the morning and I’ll have another go.

Its not supposed to. The "two metal parts" are the lock casing. Fit from outside and line the cam up.GolfR said:Yes I’ve been turning the key to turn the black toggle to the correct position, no issues there at all.
