Gateway house Piccadilly

I received a no stopping fine from UKCPS for stopping while turning around in what I thought was a car park last November. I have read some posts on here related to this house but find it confusing in what to do next? I have appealed to them a parking organisation and to the owners of the building( gateway house).
I have written to my MP who did reply and he did contact UKCPS but of course to no avail. I emailed the Mayor of Manchester department but apparently it’s nothing to do with him? My fine is now £130 I have no intention of paying it! I wish to copy a template letter from a post on this forum but find it confusing. They also advise not to post the appeal but to email it but no such email I can find on UKCPS website. Can someone please advise. Thanks

Too late to appeal now if the parking event took place last November. Sit back and wait to see if they issue court proceedings, you'd be the very first from the dozens upon dozens of cases we've seen here.

You've handled this well so far with your numerous complaints. You can't do much more. Come back on this thread if UKCPS are daft enough to try a court claim.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

There is a group discussion started by miss bizzita about this sc%m site near the station , with dozens of victims replying on it , it is the main source of information about the site , plus I saw a thread on here recently with pictures taken , so again valuable resource if it came to any claim. Gather your evidence and gain more knowledge at the same time

It is not a fine.  Please read the newbies and complain to your MP.  Also read this,

They have added what appears to be an extra unlawful amount for debt collection.

This amounts to double recovery and Judges all over the country are dismissing these spurious additions. Indeed some judges have dismissed entire claims because of this. Read this and complain to Trading Standards and your MP,

    Excel v Wilkinson

At the Bradford County Court, District Judge Claire Jackson (now HHJ Jackson, a Specialist Civil Circuit Judge) decided to hear a 'test case' a few months ago, where £60 had been added to a parking charge despite Judges up and down the country repeatedly disallowing that sum and warning parking firms not to waste court time with such spurious claims.   That case was Excel v Wilkinson: G4QZ465V, heard in July 2020 and leave to appeal was refused and that route was not pursued.  The Judge concluded that such claims are proceedings with 'an improper collateral purpose'.   This Judge - and others who have since copied her words and struck dozens of cases out in late 2020 and into 2021 - went into significant detail and concluded that parking operators (such as this Claimant) are seeking to circumvent CPR 27.14 as well as breaching the Consumer Rights Act 2015.   DJ Hickinbottom has recently struck more cases out in that court area, stating: ''I find that striking out this claim is the only appropriate manner in which the disapproval of the court can be shown''.

However, VCS appealed this so it may not apply in all cases, read this

Also consider complaining to The SRA about the solicitor, if one is involved They are fully aware of the unlawful nature of most of thse additions yet persist in adding them..

    Hi thanks

I want to copy the template put my own details in and email it to them. I appealed at first through their appeal system via email, but it won’t except other incoming email?

So after 3 years and 1 day I receive a letter from Trace debt recovery. This is for stopping for less than a minute in Gateway house Manchester, in November 2021! offence 19.11.21. date on letter heading 20.11.24.

I remember ignoring all the letters of threat and ignoring them all. I seem to remember the final letter was they had three years to take action against me? Well I'm ready for the fight I've kept all paperwork and emails, I also now have a new M.P. after the election so he's getting notified also.

Has anybody on here ever been taken to court for this offence, if you can call it an offence???????????

Been a few Moorside UKCPS Gateway House threads on here recently, so expect to see a lot more about that notorious location , Moorside have probably been given hundreds or thousands of cases to chase up

Trace were probably used to trace your new address, so have you moved since the last letters. ?
