Surely its irrelevant if you have had your jabs.
    ?????????
Surely its obvious that as the OP is trying to get a recovery certificate they haven't had them.

It would be the easier and simpler solution as you say it would make this whole discussion irrelevant, but I assume the OP already knows that.

I've just looked online for private recovery certs from a private GP and they are about £85. It's complete con and money making scam.  £85 for a piece of paper, which only confirms I had covid and they are getting that from the NHS records of my positive test anyway are they not? If so then why can't the NHS give me my recovery pass?
Because it did not go through the appropriate channels so is not recorded on their system. They cannot gve you what they do not have.
A PCR test at work which goes to NHS test and trace who tell you to isolate and send you many texts and emails about it - so it is on their system and it is 'proper channels'. Honestly, MSE forums have many helpful people, but there is a nasty element of people who are purely on these forums to pick an arguement for the sake of arguing.
  • So a private test then? Wont appear on the app. There is nothing more to it.

  • How many more times, it is on the test/trace system. It's on my GP surgery records as well because the doctor had to sign me off work for longer than the 10 days because I was still ill. Like I say, some people just like to argue and be no help whatsoever.

    Is this good enough?

    https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/get-digital-covid-pass/

A positive NHS PCR test within the past 6 months (not available in the Isle of Man)

The NHS COVID Pass is available after you've finished self-isolating and up to 180 days after taking the test. This applies to NHS tests sent by post, or done at walk-in sites, drive-through sites or hospitals.

It does not apply to tests done for scientific research or tests by private companies, for example for travel. You cannot get an NHS COVID Pass on the basis of an antibody test.

  • The NHS have missed a trick here, when a private GP I've never met can charge £80+ for a screenshot of my test results, but my own GP cannot. I would rather give that money to my own NHS Doctor. Shame.
