How to get rid of Quora

Realistically the problem here is not Google/Gmail/YouTube/Quora or anything else other than your paranoia and seeming refusal to deal with perfectly normal systems. Yes Google shares some anonomised data, no they don't sell your soul. Making mountains out of molehills would be one thing, making mountains out of nothing is quite another.

There is no such things as a separate Youtube account or Gmail account.  You have a Google account which lets you access all of Googles services such as Youtube and Gmail.  You log in/out of the account which logs you in/out of all Google services.

Your main email account is for work,family, bills, and important things.  It has to show your real name so that people you deal with in the real world recognise you.  Youtube doesn't give the option to show a username, and it insists on showing your email address.  So I don't want to sign into Youtube with the personal information from my gmail account.  As for Quora and Pinterest, they have no place clogging up my important emails every couple of days with their inanities.  I have only recently got a gmail account and have no idea what else Google gives my personal information to.  I will never knowingly sign into anything  through Google, but its default seems to be to share your personal information freely without your specific permission or even knowledge and that is scary.  I am too tired to set up another email account for now.

Also I am being bombarded with emails from Google telling me to go over my privacy details, which I have already done but it doesn't stop their emails.  I have marked them as junk, as I don't suppose they will go away and there is nothing I can do to stop them.  Google doesn't have real privacy details anyway, there is nothing I can change as I would wish to.

YouTube does give the option of choosing a username - just change your channel name and this will display when you leave comments. 

It will then leave your real name intact for your email account. 

Everything you described as a problem has a solution if you just calm down and put your energy into finding the solutions rather than ranting about it.

Have you thought about using a different browser for your YouTube/other account activity? E.g if you use Chrome for one, you use firefox or internet explorer, or duckduckgo or opera for the other?

OP just do this, it means you can have the your other account looged in and you can use Youtube.
