  • Means absolutely nothing, these promises were made before. Give it a few months.
  • Spoke to O2 Customer Services today to port a number to them. The operator said they were "busier than usual.... "

Signed up with them over the weekend after Three gave me an ultimatum on my current plan that removed roaming and reduced my data allowance whether I liked it or not.

Signed up with O2 for 5GB data and EU roaming for £6 per month.

Problem is, the EU networks are now free to change whatever they like to allow UK customers to roam.  I'm sure O2 or any of the other networks will soon backtrack if they start to lose money.
  • Is O2 not owned by a European company?

Virgin Media O2, as it now is in the UK, is a 50:50 ownership between Liberty Media (US company) & Telefonica SA(Spanish company).
