Nationwide offer

Thanks, General_Grant. I will most probably do that. Might still speak to someone in branch to see if there is anything that can be done - they can only say no and so I am no worse off - but will sew patches on to the knees of my trousers first!General_Grant said:
Very sensible to move money to a number of different institutions.
For the time being you could even open an instant access savings account with Nationwide which would get you a little interest while you move funds out over time.
You would need to pay the fee if you want to move a large amount in one transaction but there's nothing to stop you sending, say, £10,000 every working day and not incur a charge, which is what you have already worked out is something you could do. If it is that much of a pain (ie worth more than £20 of your time) then pay for CHAPS.0 -
Can you get this offer if you had nationwide offer in 2016?0

Just realised I didn’t get that offer joined for flexdirect 5* lol
this offer sounds tempting0 -
I took advantage of a Nationwide Switch offer in Nov 2017 on a FlexDirect account. Closed the account about 18 months ago, but still have a couple of old saver accounts with a few pence in each (13p & 2p)
Am I eligible for the current switch offer? I think so, but not so sure.
Does the fact that I have 15p in my accounts mean I get the £125 for switching?0 -
Appears answer is yes if you meet all the other t&c, it is always essential to read them before you switch. That can also help you in other ways, because you will learn for instance that with Nationwide you can get the switch bonus for switching a solo account and again for switching a joint account in as well.Winchmore_Hill_Shot said:I took advantage of a Nationwide Switch offer in Nov 2017 on a FlexDirect account. T&C can change so best to save version current on date of your switch.
