I am a Nationwide bank acc holder. Tried to switch accs with Nationwide to get the free £125. Couldn't do it via the online switch , kept saying I need to go into a branch. Rang them 2 days ago & was told if I was only switching accs to get the free £125 then I was not allowed to do it. Is this correct ?

The offer T&Cs clearly state that it is open for existing customers.
Go to a different Branch and don't tell them that all you are after the £125.1 -
What accounts are you trying to switch to Nationwide?

I tried switching my Bank of Scotland Vantage Account since last moth. I got information last week from NW that the switch was not successful and I was not qualified for the incentive.Fortunately the switching offer is still available and I just started the switching process again from another UK bank that already has 2DDs+ in place. Let see how it is going.Does anyone encounter similar experience switching from BOS vantage account to existing NW account that they could share??0

I have a NW Flexbasic account and have been a member for 17 years.
I would like to upgrade/switch to Flexdirect (and, of course, receive the reward for doing so) but am having trouble doing this online which is how to gain the reward.
It may be that I cannot upgrade/switch to a Flexdirect because I hold a Flexbasic account. The reason it is a basic account is that was what was available to me at the time, no doubt because I obtained a debt relief order back in 2017.
What is different now is that my financial situation has improved and my balance with NW is over £300,000.
Any advice on how to go about achieving this? Will threatening to take my business elsewhere do the trick?0 -

However, if you really have accumulated over £300K in a basic account, I doubt that £125 would be life-changing....3
