Our Lidl puts delicate houseplants outside in sub zero temperatures.  We usually only buy hardy types within a couple of days of the offer start.

Some of the best plants I've bought have been Morrisons and Aldi.

The Ivy I bought from Morrisons a couple of years ago at a £1 a pot has grown like wildfire up the fence I bought it to cover, prior to this I'd purchased a couple from a garden centre at a lot more than that, and it hasn't performed anywhere near as well in the same spot.

I've found Aldi great for things like Wisteria and Jasmine.  I think a lot is how they are looked after though, get them home, repot and a bit of food always helps.
