Orlando Car Hire - July

Looking at car hire in Orlando in July and looks the costs are nearly double what they were from a few years ago, i assume this is a lack of cars the car hire companies are retaining due to the pandemic so do we think those costs will come down closer to the summer ?
On another note will a hire company deliver a car to your location (likely wont collect one at the airport)?

If you are only seeing costs that’s re double I would book it, I am seeing cost 4 times what I normally pay in Vegas .. I don’t know about Orlando but there are many hotels in Vegas that have car hire desks and using a UK broker you can select different pick up places0

Lack of supply has indeed created issues with securing well priced rentals. Florida rental rates continue for now to stay high.
I only ever found Enterprise as an option to deliver a rental car to your door and they always seem to have a price premium. You have not mentioned where your are staying but some of the rental firms do have small locations around I-Drive, LBV and Kissimmee so that might be an option.
It might be wise to book a refundable rate now and keep an eye on prices. Then cancel and rebook if rates come down. I believe there were supply issues over Thanksgiving and Christmas in Florida to the point that rentals were either at a massively high price or not available at all. At least that way you would have certainty of a car.

For the cost for the two weeks i.e $1600, im thinking it'd be easier just to use Uber?0
