I put mine to one side so i didn't spend it. It doesn't just apply to those claiming benefits. Those who work were also paid early which means they also have longer to wait for payday.0

Benefit offices were closed on the 29th if anything had gone wrong with the payment no one could have fixed it for you, until the 30th and even then they would have been understaffed due to christmas.
Your next pay will be on the 12th.

Your next pay will be on the 12th.
That wasn't the reason why it was paid earlier because it wasn't a bank holiday.
