NowTv phone & broadband renewal

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.

I phoned up NOW after my contract ran out and spoke to their cancellations department. I mentioned that I was looking to move to Vodafone Broadband and I was offered:
- Fab Fibre & Anytime Calls for £19
- Super Fibre & Anytime Calls for £20
I asked if they could do any better and was offered Super Fibre & Anytime Calls for £19.
They said they were unable to offer any deals on TV passes as this was handled by different agents - last year I was offered a free 6 month Entertainment pass on renewing my broadband contract.
However, be careful to double check and confirm what you are offered within your online account.
Twice I have agreed to free Anytime Calls only for it to be left off the contract confirmation e-mail. This has been easy to rectify by calling NOW but be sure on this before you accidently rack up any call charges.
If you upgrade your broadband package, you might also want to check NOW don’t change your landline number by accident as happened in my case (I did get it back though).
Maybe others have got a better deal but I hope this helps.

All very useful information thank you, I may use it as ammunition against Plusnet as my contract is due for renewal soon.
Would you know if your new NOW contracts includes an CPI + 3.9% (about 9%) increase to their prices in March as Plusnet, BT, EE, Vodaphone and others are doing ?

Here's a link to the NOW Broadband and Calls contract:
From my experience, I can't recall any mid contract or inflation linked price rises, over the years. Although, NOW do reserve the right to change prices.
NOW contracts are for 12 months rather than the 18-24 months from other providers. After 12 months, you will see a big jump as standard prices replace your offer price. NOW will give you at least 30 days’ notice of any changes.
However, NOW usually send a new offer e-mail but you can still haggle further over the phone.
There does tend to be a rise in call charges (connection, per min etc) when other providers do so - this becomes irrelevant if you are on/retain free anytime calls.

I can’t find any mention on the internet at the moment or in the NOW terms and conditions for a 2022 CPI+ price increase but as you point out there is a general clause which allows for ad hoc price increases.
From another thread it does seem that if pressed Plusnet will give an extra discount on renewal to take account of their 2022 price increase to match the current NOW prices.
I shall be calling Plusnet in a couple of weeks to see what renewal deal they can offer, if they can’t match NOW prices then I think it’s time for me to switch provider.
